SHEF Bible Studies and Church Activities:

 

“Truth Rising”- Monday| March 2 | 6pm| at the church | 6-week study and call to action entitled "Truth Rising". 

The Study will equip you to understand these troubling times, ground yourself in God's truth, and move toward living with intentionality and influence. You will gain: 1) a deeper understanding of this moment in which we live and why it matters; 2) a biblical framework to live in the world as Christians; 3) a clear sense of identity in Christ, not the culture around us; 4) the confidence to live out your calling with purpose and impact.  

All are welcome and invited to attend. This includes non-church members, so invite people if you'd like. The first session will be around 2 hours, and we will serve pizza and watch the movie "Truth Rising" (available on YouTube if you want to watch in advance). The other sessions will be around 1 ½ hours each.

Two of our church members have been nominated for the Chamber’s annual awards. Scott Dahly has been nominated for citizen of the year, and Emma Niles has been nominated for the youth volunteer of the year award! It looks like you need to be a member of the chamber to vote. Fundraising:

Personal Costa Rica Mission’s Trip Fundraiser-Malisa Niles will be hosting a Garden Tea Party| March 21| SHEF Church|10 AM. Light snacks and of course various teas will be served. Malisa will be giving presentations on Herbal Tea Gardening and Seed Starting. No charge for the event but donations appreciated and will be put toward Malisa’s expenses for the April Costa Rica Mission’s Trip. 

 

Church Rummage Sale- March 6 & 7|  It's time to go through your closets, clean out your basements and check the boxes in the garage! Donations can be dropped off starting March 1st. Please no clothes. Funds raised will be used to fund the projects the team will be completing in Costa Rica. 

 

Camp Hallawasa- Hallawasa Volleyball tournament. - Rapid City Christian| March 28| 8am. If someone would like to play, the tournament is open to men and women 16yrs+. We already have one team from SHEF created, but we can create another team if there are more people interested in playing.

If someone would like to volunteer, we need help in concessions, keeping score and helping with the silent auction. All are easy jobs that anyone could do, and there will be several people helping in each location. Oyate Hope Academy- Sweater Fundraiser| To purchase a zip-up hoodie with the 'Oyate Hope Academy' logo, the order sheet is on the pass-through table. Volunteer Opportunities:

-Missions- Oyate Concern has a couple of needs and are looking for some volunteer help:

  -They are starting a new Children’s and Horses Discipleship program and need help in finding shoes and helmets for

children who may participate.

-They need anyone who is able bodied to volunteer in building a fence, in April. Contact Shelley Harris (620) 621-6077.
