We Believe in Preaching God’s Word

A church can have wonderful music, beautiful facilities and engaging programs but all of that would be meaningless apart from the faithful proclamation of God’s Word. As Paul declared to the young pastor, Timothy,

Preach the word, be ready in season and out of season... ” 2 Timothy 4:2

Since we hold that the Bible is God’s authoritative word to us we make it a central part of all our services.

While we will occasionally present topical series on pertinent subjects, the norm for us is to pick a book of the Bible and preach straight through it. In this way we are able to do as Paul said in Acts 20:27,

For I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole purpose of God.”

But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.”
