Operation Christmas Child

We are looking forward to beginning our shoe box collection for the 2011 Christmas season! A display will be set up at SHEF church beginning October 9, 2011. In addition, we will have information available if you would like to track your box and see what area of the continent it arrives in. Stay tuned for further details!

Operation Christmas Child (OCC) is a program developed through Samaritan’s Purse International Relief.

Samaritan’s Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Since 1970, Samaritan’s Purse has helped meet needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God’s love through His Son, Jesus Christ.

The organization serves the Church worldwide to promote the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The specific mission of OCC is:
To demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to needy children around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.

In 2010 we packed and delivered 87 boxes for OCC children.
