Jonah: When God Works– Jonah 3:1-10
1) Share about a time when you had an opportunity to “work with God” and saw firsthand Him move in a special way.
2) Read 2nd Timothy 2:15 and 3:16-17. When churches are faithful to preach the Word of God what impact do these verses say
that will have in our lives?
3) Read Acts 24:24-25. Of the three topics Paul spoke about what do you believe caused Felix to become frightened? Why do you think that is? Have you ever had that response when you’ve spoken to people?
4) Why do you think many Christians today are afraid to speak about judgment?
5) What are some good ways to move a conversation from judgment to God’s grace?
6) Read Luke 3:7-9 about John the Baptist. What do you think John meant by the first line in verse 8? Read verses 10 through 14 for some ideas.
7) How does it make you feel to know that nobody, no matter how wicked, is beyond God’s ability to save?
8) What principle or insight from this message did you find to be most helpful? Why?
9) What would you consider the most challenging idea from this message to put into practice? Why?
